World state

Half of Bledavik is destroyed, Nortune is in a damaged state of unknown extent, Nisan is overwhelmed by rapidly-mutating refugees in a global humanitarian crisis where previously-unaffected people are more and more being affected now, Mahanon has surfaced.

  • Eldridge-era structure, located in the northwestern sea.
  • Has an unused world map object.
  • Enemies are Solaris human-Gears and potentially other Eldridge-adjacent dungeon enemies (Babel Tower, Fort Jasper, Anima Dungeons, etc).
  • Has multiple fully-modeled scenes of unknown development intent - not known if this was always intended to be a cutscene area or a dungeon area.
  • Exterior level is fully modeled for the cutscene, bridge level is very detailed for the cutscene, Deus Larva containment room is fully modeled for the cutscene, Razael's Tree level is vast but mostly empty for the dramatic reveal of the tree and the descent of the villains.
  • Party is everyone except Elly.
  • First boss encounter is against the Deus Larva, which can cause a softlock.
  • Second boss encounter is against the game's only superboss, Alpha Weltall, and is intended to be unbeatable - technically beatable with specific party compositions but the story does not recognize it.

  • Elly remarks that the refugees in Nisan are continuing to mutate. She mentions that they're testing a mutation suppressan assembler on the refugees.
  • Her pendant gives her a sign that Fei is in trouble and she runs out, she flies up to Shevat which is stationed above Nisan, where she receives a transmission from Krelian requesting her presence in Golgoda.
  • Elly fetches the Regulus, her Omnigear, and, despite apprehensions from her Gebler companions, sets off for Golgoda alone.

  • Mahanon dungeon. Multiple areas in the game’s files are used for cutscenes.
  • Overworld exploration. Finding Mahanon. Observing the Wels crisis in the populated areas.

Why not

  • Mahanon might be too fragmented to construct into a cohesive dungeon.
  • If updating existing areas to reflect changes in the world proves too troublesome.
